Description

The 70th Winchcombe Country Show will be held at Winchcombe Senior School Playing Fields. Come and join us for a fantastic day out for all the family. This year will be marking the 50th Anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 landing on the moon.

There will be a traditional flower show, with many prize winning exhibits to see, a wide range of entertainment, a variety of dog demonstrations, local foods to sample and lots of stalls selling local crafts and gifts.

The Winchcombe Country Show is a traditional country show with the Flower Show at its heart. There will be many classes in the show including floral displays, arts, crafts, photography, wine, cookery and preserves with over 50 cups to win.

This year’s main event will be an incredible BMX show, where the riders will fly through the air performing the most breath taking tricks and stunts. Alongside our main event, there will be a wide range of entertainments for everyone. This will include a traditional Punch and Judy Show, face painting, street entertainment, bungee jumping and much, much more.

The show will also feature many stalls selling gifts and local produce along with stalls providing you with information about local clubs, activities and charities that are in Winchcombe and the surrounding area. Dog friendly games will include terrier racing and dog scurry. Please bring your dogs along so that they can enjoy the day as well.

To keep you going throughout the day, there will be various refreshment stands including a tea tent serving delicious homemade cakes and a licensed bar.

The annual procession through Winchcombe will start at 11:30am from the Abbey Field Community Centre in Back Lane. There will be vintage tractors, fancy dress contestants and the Happenstance Border Morris Dancers. The procession will arrive at the show site for the opening of the show at 12pm.
