Timbercombe Woods and Wistley Hill
A lovely walk in Charlton Kings. Wander along the path through Timbercombe Woods, then through the gate and onto the footpath. It’s a fairly steep climb for little legs, but the view from the top of Wistley Hill makes it absolutely worthwhile! There’s a map and noticeboard on the way up, so you can pick your route and check out which wildlife you need to be on the lookout for.
There’s parking at the entrance to the woods, as well as on street parking in the local area. Little Herberts Nature Reserve is on your left as you leave the woods and is also worth a look, it’s tiny but packed with flora and fauna.
