Lineover Wood
Time: flexible
Pushchair friendly? Not really
"We recently visited line over woods. The turn for the woods is straight after you pass the Koloshi on the same side. There is a small parking area for roughly 12 cars. We decided to park behind the koloshi and walk up the grass bank.
On arrival there are 3 paths that you can take. We took the middle one. Although the paths are wide I wouldn't recommend taking a pushchair as there's quite a narrow gate at the beginning and some of the paths are uneven.
After just a short walk my children found what looked like a forestry school area, on the left hand side with tree trunk seats and 4-5 dens that had been built out of sticks and twigs. We spent 45 minutes playing there as their imaginations were running wild.
The woods them self were very quiet and so beautiful. There were a couple of dog walkers. I would recommend taking a bag /bin as we had a picnic and didn't see any bin facilities around but had gone prepared. Next time I will make a nature hunt ticksheet as there were lots of lovely things to be seen"
