"Holiday's are comin'!" Perhaps it's the long white beard, or snuggly red velvet suit, or simply because he gives out presents; whatever the reason - we can't get enough of Father Christmas! The evenings are drawing in and we're counting down the days until we see his presents under the tree; with all his gift-giving and time-travel, it's a miracle he's able to make it to town at all!
Cheltenham Rocks has on good authority (from the elves) where 'Santa Claus', 'Saint Nick', or 'Papa Crimbo' will be stopping for 'elfies' and deliveries in town this year. "He's making a list, he's checking it twice" and he's found out that Cheltenham children are on his nice list this year! So, if you still haven’t got your list of present requests in, now you can! Here's our round up of every where Santa is stopping in the run up to the big day for your Christmas calendar scheduling pleasure - we've counted 30 so far! Letters at the ready!
Until Christmas Day
Once again Cotswold Farm Park will be hosting Father Christmas and his cheeky elves on selected dates this November and December! Special children’s tickets are available for these days, which include Farm Park entrance, a special time slot to see Father Christmas and their own choice of present from the Toy Room. Children, toddlers and young adults with a Father Christmas booking will also be invited into the elves workshop to make a Christmas Eve box. Find out more.
This Christmas, treat your family to a unique and memorable festive day out - and meet Santa himself at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre. Come along for breakfast or afternoon tea and visit Santa in his magical grotto! Throughout the day there’ll be lots of other fun Christmas activities too; ice your own gingerbread man, build an elf den, toast marshmallows, get creative making arts and crafts - and don't forget to send a letter to the North Pole at the indoor post office! The Harvester elves have been busy pulling some strings and we’re pleased to announce that Santa will be stopping at The Redgrove for Breakfast in the run up for Christmas. He’ll be taking a break from his present-run preparations to visit you and your little ones for a delicious Kids cooked breakfast! Kicking off Santa's rounds is the Warden Hill Christmas Fayre, hosted by the primary school PTA. With lots of festive fun to be had, including tombolas, stall, festive games and mystery jars - and Father Christmas will be there too! Find out more.
Saturday 30th November
The GWSR Santa Specials offer fun for the whole family! Travel by steam train from Cheltenham Racecourse Station, all the way to Winchcombe (or the North Pole!) through the long tunnel, to visit Santa and his elves in his grotto! With an exciting Christmas fairyland, lots of twinkling lights and great gifts! When you arrive at Winchcombe, the elves will meet you off the train, making sure you have plenty of time to visit Santa and receive presents, especially selected by him for each age group before your train returns to Cheltenham! Create Cheltenham brings us The Plough Christmas Market on Saturday 30th November! With an amazing selection of stall holders selling gifts, craft, food and drink - and there’s even an opportunity to meet Santa (by booking only)! Monday 2nd December - Wednesday 11th December
Cheltenham Round Table's Santa Sleigh comes to Cheltenham's surrounding areas again this year; familiar spots in Up Hatherley, Naunton Park, Charlton Kings, St Marks, Benhall and Leckhampton. Santa and his helpers will be visiting local residents and collecting for local good causes. The route is subject to change and the team will try to stick to the published route, however due to traffic, weather or number of volunteers on the day the route may change. Tuesday 3rd December
The Winchcombe Christmas Festival is widely recognised for being the best annual late-night Christmas shopping evening in the Cotswolds. Independent shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs will be throwing open their doors in a warm welcome to all for one night only, and all are welcome to come along and enjoy the festive feeling! As well as over 50 market stalls and child-friendly entertainment, Father Christmas will make a special appearance, guiding his brightly-lit sleigh through the town, before appearing with his Elves in his grotto at the Guide Hall, with all proceeds supporting local charities in Winchcombe. The Charlton Kings Christmas extravaganza will see Santa and his reindeer spreading merriment and cheer, as choirs tunefully perform festive carols around the tree. The Fayre, which is organised by the Parish Council, is a very popular local family event which involves a range of gift and food stalls and switching on of the Christmas lights. Last year's entertainment included the Coady Crew, a visit from Chase (Paw Patrol), early Christmas shopping opportunities at the Stanton Room and a chance to visit the grotto! The Swindon Village Primary School annual Winter Fair welcomes children to meet Father Christmas in his grotto, play fun, festive games and have a go at winning some fantastic prizes! With lots of stalls, handmade gifts a chocolate tombola, craft room, barrel of booze, wrapping room and refreshments! Find out more.
Come along to the annual, Christmas fundraising fair for a chance to see Santa in his grotto at Benhall Infant School. The Lakeside School PTA Christmas Fair returns for annual festivities a'plenty! All are welcome to along and enjoy the fun; this year the school choir will be singing some Christmas favourites, as well as a bouncy castle, games and a secret wrapping room! Santa will also be visiting; tickets to see Santa are available to book through the school system, so only pupils will be able to book in advance. However, passes will be available on the day for £2.50 to those early birds of the public! Find out more.

Shurdington Pre-School is proud to be hosting the Christmas party of all Christmas parties this December - with lights, music, games, face paints, food and a magical Santa's Grotto - all for just £3.50 per child (to include a gift from Santa's Grotto)! Limited to ten children, families will enjoy 30 magical minutes with Father Christmas and his elves with a festive story and photos. Children will then be invited to head to the Elf ‘toy workshop’ to pick a special John Lewis & Partners Gift, before tucking into a tasty treat from The Place to Eat. Who says Father Christmas should get all the fun! Come and visit Mrs Christmas in her cosy little snug at Glenfall House, for a magical Christmas experience for the whole family! Gather round for story time with Mrs Christmas as she whisks the children away on a Christmas story adventure! Let your creative juices flow with some festive arts and crafts where you will make your very own Christmas Tree decoration.
