Pop!’ Nope, that’s not the sound of our attempts at Rice Crispies for Bake Off Tuesday’s - it’s the whizzing, fizzing and whirling of fireworks as they hurtle through the night sky at speed! Catherine Wheels, Roman Candles, Fountains, Firecrackers - we’ve got them all here in Cheltenham to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night! "Ooh! Aah!" Best book up early if you like what you see - most of these events require advanced booking (unless otherwise stated).

Thursday 1st November
Shurdington Primary school is hosting a fantastic fireworks evening - this cracker of an event certainly starts off the celebrations with a bang! Food, fun and fireworks - with child-friendly games, hot food and drinks, a bouncy castle and more! From 6pm - 8pm, tickets vary from £4 per adult and £3 per child, with under 2's free! Friday 2nd November
The Fairview Fireworks Party is back with a bang! Gather family and friends together at Cheltenham Cricket Club from 5.30pm onwards for a fantastic display from G Force, in aid of the St Vincent’s and St Georges Association. This event kindly features a 'no big bangs' display for preschool children at 5:45pm, with a the main display following at 7:30pm. Tickets £7.50 per person with children under 16 free, any remaining tickets not sold in advance will be available on the night but as this event usually sells quickly it's not worth risking it if you do plan to go! The Friends of Bishops Cleeve Primary Academy promises a bonfire and fireworks extravaganza! There will be refreshments available to purchase including burgers and hot dogs, hot and cold drinks and an abundance sweets! There will also be glow items for sale which means a mini rave by the fire..from a safe distance! Gates open at 6:30pm, with the bonfire lit at 7pm and fireworks from 7:30pm. Bonfire Night at Birdlip Primary School gets better each year, and this one even features an actual 'Guy' made by the children - you can see it burning in the embers of the huge bonfire (let's hope they're not old enough to question our bizarre tradition of burning a man on a fire)! An apt BBQ is also on offer, with grown up drinks (alcohol), and sweets and cakes for the kids! The impressive professional firework display is provided by Cotswold Fireworks Company, with all proceeds going to Birdlip Primary School. Gates open at 6pm with the display at 7:15pm. Saturday 3rd November
The Cheltenham Round Table fireworks display is certainly impressive! Now running for over 30 years, the event is widely recognised as one of the largest and safest firework displays in the South West, attracting more than 10,000 people every year! Expect a spectacular night of entertainment, from fairground attractions and live music, to every child’s favourite PJ Masks, who will be making an appearance at intervals throughout the night. There will also be hot and cold food, endless refreshments and of course fireworks a’plenty! You certainly get a bang for your buck, and all money raised goes to local charities in support of our community. Gates open at 5pm, tickets £8 for adults and £4 children. Find out more.
Saturday night's alright for Croft School FIREWORKS! It's the school's biggest event of the year and it's set to be another great one! With a roaring bonfire, a mulled wine bar, sticky toffee apples and cake, tea and coffee, locally sourced hot food and a fab fireworks display from 6:30pm! Rock up from 5pm, with tickets costing just £3 per adult, £2 per child and under 3's enter for free! There will be a limited number of tickets on the night but these are likely to sell out very quickly! Find out more.
The St Edwards Prep School bonfire and firework display has it all! The school’s annual show offers something for all ages, with a funfair, a magic show and an impressive display to wow the crowds! The school is also in walking distance of local Charlton Kings eateries and pubs, offering the perfect opportunity to warm the cockles post-show! Gates open at 5pm and the firework display takes place at 7:30pm, with the evening finishing at 9pm, tickets cost £4 if bought from the prep school's main office or £5 on the night. Find out more.
The Leckhampton Scout Group annual bonfire and fireworks night promises a blazing bonfire and shooting, whizzing wheels of colour and sound! Weeeeee! Refreshments and a licensed bar - and hot food to keep you toasty warm! Gates open at 6pm, with firework displays at 6.45pm and 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 per adult and £3 per child, with under 2's enter free. There may be the possibility of a few remaining tickets sold at the gate, but the event will most likely sell out in advance as usual. Find out more.
Sunday 4th November
The annual CACSSA fireworks display promises to be a fun and exciting event for all the family, and it certainly livens up a Sunday! Boasting fairground rides, face painting and fun-filled activities, with music from the resident DJ on the decks from 7pm until 10pm! A selection of food and drink will also be available to purchase - we're set to dance the night away! Tickets will be available on the gate for this event, with an adult ticket costing £6 and children under 16 £3 each. Gates open at 4:30pm with the fireworks display at 6:30pm. Find out more.
Saturday 10th November
Burley Fields bonfire and fireworks display is back with a bang, and promises a packed evening of entertainment for all ages! A funfair and disco for children, hot dogs, burgers, a pig roast, tea room, refreshments and bar for the grown ups! Gates open at 5:30pm with the kid's show at 7pm and grand finale at 8:30pm. Tickets available in advance for £5 from Burley Fields farm shop, Sidal’s Cafe in Warden Hill and Bargain Booze on the Bath Road, tickets £7 on the gate.
