Swindon Village Park
We love doing a loop of Swindon Village Park! We usually start in the play area, which has plenty to keep both pre-school and school aged children occupied, Honey and Ace spent a LONG time on the roundabout on our most recent visit and love the climbing frame there too.
Next, we head out on to the field to play and search for nature treasure. Honey likes making fairy tea sets out of acorn shells and leaves, Ace likes finding huge sticks and dragging them round on the rest of the walk! In the far corner of the field, you can pick up a little path that runs alongside Wymans Brook and while the brook may not be suitable for paddling, it's great for throwing sticks, stones and leaves into, which is almost as much fun!
When you emerge from the woodland, you can run across the field to the recently installed tree swing (head to Mood Swings on Instagram to see where other local swings have been added). Finally, you can finish your loop with a turn on the mini obstacle course.
There is a medium sized, free car park next to the play area, but no public toilets or refreshments are available here.
