Primrose Vale Halloween Trail

Primrose Vale’s Halloween Trail is back for half term, with puzzles, tasks and challenges dotted around the farm rather than anything designed to scare the socks off them. There are two versions of the trail, which is particularly handy if you're taking siblings of different ages.

There are actually two trails to tackle. One is designed for pre-schoolers, while the other is for children who are reading and writing. You can choose the one that fits your crew or have a go at both, with no set time limit for completing them.

It's an outdoor farm trail, so this is definitely a wellies-over-white-trainers sort of outing if the weather's been wet. Primrose Vale recommends sturdy footwear and says the event goes ahead in bad weather. All children need to be accompanied by an adult, and dogs aren't permitted on the trail.

Pushchairs that can handle uneven ground should generally manage, although mud, puddles and some inaccessible areas are possible. The shop and café will also be open during the holidays for drinks and snacks.

You can combine the trail with PYO pumpkin picking, but they're separate ticketed activities on opposite sides of the A46. Primrose Vale suggests allowing up to an hour for pumpkin picking and says the trail itself can take anything from around 45 minutes to two hours. If you're doing both, you'll need tickets for each activity.
