We did a 6 mile circular walk, following the clearly marked path through Witcombe Woods (next to the Roman ruins) and eventually emerging to pass through Great Witcombe and Little Witcombe. Finally, we headed for the expansive Witcombe Reservoirs, before making our way back up to the ruins. The paths are clearly marked, but can get very muddy, so be sure to wear wellies! 

Honey and Ace absolutely loved playing amongst the ruins and have repeatedly asked to go back again. It was also an excellent spot for a picnic. There are no toilets or refreshments along the route, so go prepared.
