Frampton On Severn is approximately 30 minutes from Cheltenham, by car. When you arrive, there is plenty of free, parking by The Green, which is the longest village green in England (so plenty of space for picnics)!

With the pub on your right, walk away from the village centre until you reach some chocolate box cottages (a friend described these to me as Mr McGregor's garden, you'll see why) with a path in between. Follow this footpath and turn left on to the fields behind Frampton Court Estate. Cross this field (taking in the stunning lake on your right and an insane amount of swans), then take a slight right through the woods. While the woodland is private property, signs state that the land owners are happy for people to use the paths.

Coming out of the woods, head round to the right and follow the path to the boating lake. We were lucky enough to see lots of people sailing and even a boat race when we went! Coming out of the sailing club, head for the footpath on the other side of the road and you can walk a little further to close the loop, ending up back at your car.

There are no public toilets, but provisions can be picked up from the village shop. You may also wish to book a table at The Bell Inn if you're planning to stay for lunch or tea.
