Christmas Light Switch On at Pittville Pump Room

Pittville Pump Room is pulling out the stops for its Christmas lights switch-on, with Santa, crafts, festive food and a whole afternoon of entertainment. There's music, dancing and an appearance from the Everyman Theatre's pantomime cast, followed by a foam party to round off the evening. Plenty to keep the children occupied while you wait for the big switch-on at 5pm.

Christmas Lights Switch-On at Pittville Pump Room 2026

• Date: Saturday 28 November 2026

• Time: 1pm to 7pm, with the lights switch-on at 5pm

• Location: Pittville Pump Room, Pittville Park, Cheltenham, GL52 3JE

• Suitable for: Families of all ages

There's plenty happening before the lights come on. Inside Pittville Pump Room, children can get stuck into Christmas crafts, meet Santa and enjoy festive face painting. There'll also be hot food, seasonal nibbles and hot chocolates, plus mulled wine for the grown-ups.

Outside, a stage will host live music and dance performances, including an appearance from the cast of the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre's pantomime. The full running order is still to be announced, so it's worth checking nearer the time if there's a particular performance you don't want to miss.

The Christmas lights will be switched on at 5pm, but that's not the end of the celebrations. Party Peeps will keep things going until 7pm with their popular foam party, which sounds like quite a way to finish a November evening!
