Come and meet a penguin in a tunnel, find a boneshaker in the sky, and watch rabbits mid-leap.

Follow shapes and colours and ice and sun, cross oceans and climb mountains as you play together and wonder at the world, as it comes alive through our incredible collection.

WORLD OF WONDERS! is a brand new gallery that we’ve been able to develop thanks to generous funding from the DCMS/Wolfson Foundation Museums & Galleries

Improvement Fund and the Friends of the Wilson. We’ve opened the doors to a previously long-closed museum space, dug objects out of our stores and breathed life into them for you and your fellow adventurers to discover. We’ve worked with designers HKD and The Moule Partnership to explore our collection and bring you brand new stories in ways you’ve never seen before. The WOW! Gallery is fully accessible, right down to using a dyslexia friendly font.

There’s a buggy park and cafe on site, food and drink welcome, changing facilities available and lifts to all floors. Entry to the WOW! gallery is free, with donations encouraged.
