The Royal Pub are dead excited for a long weekend of celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June.

Four days of fun and frolics to commemorate our lovely Queen and all things British.

We will be featuring some delicious British classics on our menus. Think Sausage Rolls and Piccalilli on the bar and Ploughman’s Lunch, well at lunch. Craig and his talented team have created some dishes that celebrate the very best produce the British Isles has to offer such as Devonshire Crab and Prawn Cocktail, Deep Fried Whitebait, Whole Cornish Plaice, Welsh Lamb Cutlets and Eton Mess to name a few.

There will also be some fabulous Cocktails on offer. Imaginatively created by Lizzie and James, make sure you try a Ginbilee, British Garden Punch or Royal Blueberry Mojito. In fact, why not try them all; you do have 4 days off after all? Of course there will be lashings of Pimm’s on offer too.

On Thursday 2nd we have Rock and Roll Bingo. As you would expect this is not ordinary Rock and Roll Bingo, we have a Jubilee special focussing on some Classic British tunes.

Then on Friday 3rd, the regally named Charlton Blues Kings will be here from 9pm, creating the perfect party mood.

Our final event of the weekend is the Royal Garden Party on Sunday 5th June from 4-6pm. Quite frankly who needs Buckingham Palace when you have the Royal in Charlton Kings? This is part of the Big Jubilee Lunch with events going on all across the country. Tables will be set up in a Street Party style, so that we can all come together to raise a glass to her Majesty.

Our lovingly prepared Afternoon Tea Menu is £15 per person. Add a glass of Champagne or one of our special Jubilee cocktails and it’s £23 per person. 

There will be some Garden Games to keep the little ones (and big ones) entertained and The Rhythm Slingers join us with their fabulous 50’s inspired Rock and Roll. The Rhythm Slingers will come armed with a foot-stomping repertoire of original songs and classic covers, playing an energetic set of rockin’ tunes faithful to the spirit of the era. The Queen very much approves!

We’ll have a number of Garden Games and we are also joined by the fantastic Rhythm Slingers, entertaining us with 50’s inspired Rock and Roll. See more details here.
