The Reddings’ annual summer fete is back, alongside its horticultural show, with live music, kids’ races, games, a raffle and plenty of cake. Entry is just £1 and children go free, so it’s a nicely low-cost afternoon out for the last weekend of the summer holidays.

Alongside the horticultural show, there’ll be live music, kids’ races, games and a raffle, plus a BBQ, teas and cakes. Come hungry, basically.

Fancy entering the show rather than just admiring everyone else’s handiwork? There are dedicated children’s and young people’s classes for ages 8 and under, 9 to 12 and 13 to 16, covering everything from baking and Lego to drawing, jewellery and garden-themed creations. There are no entry fees for the show classes in 2026, and completed entry forms need to be submitted by Wednesday 26 August.
