Enjoy an Indian dance inspired by Gustav Holst’s Indian opera, 'Savitri', in the atmospheric surroundings of the Museum’s Victorian Drawing Room. Performed by members of Nethra Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA).

Two performances will be held, at 3pm and 4pm. Each performance will last approximately 15 minutes.

Indian sweets, tea and cake will be available in the Victorian Kitchen (in return for a donation).

Part of the Holst 150 programme.

NAPA was founded in January 2018 as a cultural organisation to promote Indian classical performing arts – Bharatanatyam (Dance) in Gloucestershire. The main ethos of the academy is to raise the profile of Indian classical performing arts and to support the local communities in Gloucestershire. NAPA’s founders are Dr Gayathiri and Thrinethra Gowri Shankar. For more information go to https://nethraacademy.co.uk
