A Portrait of Cheltenham
A specially commissioned film to celebrate the reopening of the museum, asking the residents of Cheltenham what the Town means to them.

New Museum Galleries
Welcome Space, Community Display and 4 new collections galleries are open to explore, with trails and explorer kits available to families and children.

Living Histories
Pop-up immersive performances bring the objects to life! Stumble across actors as they become a character from Cheltenham’s history and reveal some hidden stories.

My Objects: Clay Workshop
Mould your own museum object in clay, and rite a museum object label for it.
Recreate something you have seen, make your favourite object from home or invent something new!

2 Minute Tours
The Wilson’s volunteers invite you to ask them for a 2 minute tour of their favourite object. Keep an eye out for staff wearing a ‘2 Minute Tour’ Badge.

We are The Wilson
A collaborative artwork that brings everyone together in one large portrait! Contribute something, and become a part of the history of Cheltenham.

Conservation Station
Find out why some of the collection might not be on display, and have a go at diagnosing the conservation requirements of some objects in distress!

Museum on Wheels
Explore our museum on wheels – a cabinet of curiosities designed to be on the move! All the objects can be carefully touched and handled.
