Mother's Day Weekend at Sudeley Castle

Next dates

  1. Saturday, 14 March 2026
  2. Sunday, 15 March 2026

This Mother’s Day, treat your mum to a memorable experience at Sudeley Castle, where history, beauty and springtime colour come together.

Enjoy blossom‑filled garden walks, hear inspiring short talks about ultimate mother-figure, Katherine Parr, and on Mother’s Day itself - Sunday 15th March - visit our pop‑up tea room in the Coach House, where all mothers will receive a posy of daffodils and a cupcake with our compliments!

Stroll Among Spring Blossoms
Brighten your Mother’s Day with an uplifting stroll through Sudeley Castle’s awakening gardens. In March, the castle grounds are alive with bright drifts of daffodils, early tulips, magnificent magnolias and soft clouds of cherry blossom.

Follow the pathways past romantic ruins and formal gardens, or venture into the quieter corners where birdsong and spring wildlife create a tranquil mood. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th Special Talks
This Mother’s Day weekend, honour one of history’s most caring and influential step‑mothers - Queen Katherine Parr. Treat your mum to a captivating historic talk in the Chapel, where our guides explore Katherine’s remarkable role as a Tudor mother and stepmother, her relationships with Henry VIII’s children, Lady Mary, Lady Elizabeth and Prince Edward, and the compassionate, intelligent legacy she left behind. Start times: 11:30am & 2:30pm

Mother's Day Tea Room
On Mother’s Day itself the Castle Coach House will host a special walk‑in tea room, open from 10am to 3:30pm, serving tea, coffee and homemade cakes.

To bring a little extra joy, every mother will receive a complimentary cupcake with her visit, along with a posy of daffodils to take home. A warm welcome awaits!
