Make family memories this summer with a steam train adventure on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, where children can travel for just £1 throughout the school holidays.

Running from 18th July to 31st August 2026, the Summer Season combines unlimited heritage railway journeys through the beautiful Cotswolds with a packed programme of family activities, crafts and special events at Winchcombe Station.

Trainmaster Kids' Playtime

From 28th July to 9th August, children can enjoy railway-themed play with train sets, tracks, tunnels and interactive activities in the Tim Mitchell Building at Winchcombe Station. Entry is included with a valid train ticket. 

Teddy Bear Thursdays

Bring along your favourite teddy on 6th, 13th and 20th August for a special steam train adventure. Families can enjoy free children's craft activities, picnic areas and a visit to the Coffee Pot Café at Winchcombe Station. 

Summer Family Crafts

From 11th to 23rd August, children can take part in hands-on craft activities inspired by locomotives and the railway, with something different to discover throughout the fortnight.
