The Library Challenge: Tales Through Time

Free activities and events for kids this summer in Cheltenham

The Library Challenge returns to Cheltenham from Saturday 11 July, bringing a summer packed with free family events, creative activities, reading adventures and exciting rewards.

Designed to inspire children to discover the joy of books, the Library Challenge encourages young readers to explore their local library, complete fun activities and build confidence through reading during the summer holidays. Families regularly tell Gloucestershire Libraries how much the challenge boosts enthusiasm for books, with one parent sharing that their child was so excited they started waking up early to read each morning.

Alongside all the free activities taking place across Cheltenham libraries, children can collect rewards as they progress through the challenge. Participants can earn certificates, badges, lanyards and medals as they reach Bronze, Silver and Gold milestones, while Gold finishers are entered into a fantastic grand prize draw featuring book collections, creative activity sets, gift vouchers and family days out.
