Fire and Rescue Station Open Day

Cheltenham East Fire Station is opening its doors for a free Open Day this September, with the chance to meet local firefighters, explore the fire engines and find out more about what the crew gets up to. There’ll be live demonstrations, have-a-go activities, family activities and refreshments too.

Cheltenham Fire Station Open Day

• Date: Sunday 27 September 2026

• Cost: Free

• Location: Cheltenham East Community Fire Station, Keynsham Road, Cheltenham, GL53 7PY

• Suitable for: All ages

The main Open Day starts at 11am, with plenty going on around the station including demonstrations and hands-on activities. It’s a good chance for fire engine fans to get a closer look at the vehicles and for older children to discover a bit more about the work Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service does locally.

There’s also an SEN-focused Quiet Hour from 10am to 11am for visitors who’d prefer a calmer visit. Noise will be reduced during this hour, with no sirens where possible.
