Family Fun Friday - Foraging Walk
Next dates
- 10:30 - 12:30
Join us as we explore Warden's Wood with Rob Gould, a foraging tutor with over 30 years of experience with wild foods. He will guide us through the woodland, alongside Nicole Daw of Cleeve Common Trust, and between them they will share their knowledge of many of the plants, trees, birds, and other things we come across, whether they are interesting, actually edible, tasty, or just downright gross!
The session will be primarily focused on the children attending, but parents will obviously also be able to about things which they feel would benefit with their child's ongoing engagement with the outdoors.
After we've finished our woodland adventure, we will head back to the event shelter for lunch. Please bring your own picnic, although you will have the chance to supplement this with a selection of foraged edible goodies, prepared by you as a family, whilst guided by Rob and Nicole.
Suitable for children of 5 years and older. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
