Curious Kids
Science and craft classes for 3-7 year olds which answer the amazing questions children ask as they discover the world around them.
Each class is themed around a question children ask. For example: "How do fish breathe?", "Why is there a rainbow?", "Where does food come from?".
We use a combination of:
- science experiments
- arts and crafts
- sensory trays
- role play- games
- and lots of fun to explore the answers.
Every other Monday in term time
2pm - 3pm for 3-5 year olds
3:45pm - 4:45pm for 5-7 year olds
Monday 31st October: How do fireworks make different colours? (FREE to celebrate our new location! Booking still required to secure your place)
Monday 14th November: Why are nights longer in winter?
Monday 28th November: Where do animals go in winter?
Monday 12th December: What is snow?
A bit about our Adventures (classes):
Curious Kids Adventures are designed for 3-7 year olds.
Each Adventure is 1 hour and explores a question curious kids ask as they discover the world around them. When you arrive there will be 3 activities set up for your curious kid to explore at their own pace. These include a themed sensory tray (e.g. a sensory pond), a craft activity and 1 other activity depending on the Adventure. Having time to explore at their own pace allows curious kids to arrive and settle and build their confidence in their new surrounding before coming together as a group.
Using an interactive activity we then come together as a group to explore the question for that Adventure, followed by a themed physical activity, often using our parachute.
We end with story time and refreshments for everyone.
Your Class Leader will often dress up in something which matches your Adventure! For example a sun hat for beach themed Adventures or wellies for garden themed Adventures. I personally cannot wait to show you my astronauts suit for our space Adventures! We love it when you curious kids dress up too.
Before each Adventure your Class Leader will email you some specific information about your Adventure including a small optional activity or photo to build your curious kids' excitement. We will also include a suggestion on what your curious kid (and you!) may like to wear.
Each Adventure is £9:50 which includes your craft to take home and refreshments. Discount available for siblings.
