Star Studded Cricket and Classic Car Event to help local disadvantaged and disabled children. 

On Wednesday 2 August,  Cheltenham will play host to a game of cricket at College Ground between the Lord’s Taverners XI and sporting legends of Gloucestershire including former England fast bowler Andy Caddick and Gloucestershire all-rounder Martyn Ball plus other former sporting stars. 

David Gower OBE, former captain of the England cricket team  and an English cricket commentator, and Mike Gatting OBE, also a former England captain, will also making a guest appearance throughout the afternoon.  Mike Gatting OBE is the guest speaker, for the evening dinner, and will be telling amazing and hilarious stories of his time in the England set up. 

Join the fun at 11.30am for a 2pm match start. 

Adults £8. £5 for concessions (concessions for GCCC members, under 16’s and over 65’s) - also available at the gate of the College Ground.

The match will be teamed up with a chance to get up close and personal with some of the world’s finest classic and vintage cars as well as photo opportunities with the cars and celebrities.  

Owners are invited to exhibit their own for £15 including ground entry. 

Lord’s Taverners create a range of opportunities for young disabled people and those from deprived areas to engage in sport and recreational activities in their local communities. Their programmes support some of the UK's most marginalised and at-risk young people.  Activities include providing specially adapted mini buses, recycling sports kit, and table cricket enjoyed by young people in Gloucestershire.

Paul Mount, event organiser said “This is a fantastic opportunity to meet a whole host of cricket legends , enjoy a day of cricket, cars and wonderful food whilst supporting a great cause”. In the evening there will be a sporting dinner featuring former England cricketer Mike Gatting OBE as guest speaker. 

Tickets are priced for the evening event at £55 per person or £50 per person if you book a table for 10.
