Loving Earth Art Exhibition
The Loving Earth Project is a community textile project started by a few Quakers in 2019, which has spread widely and has generated international interest.
Drop in to browse, reflect, chat, craft.
Refreshments.
By the time international climate conference COP 26 was held in Glasgow in 2021, over 400 textile panels had been made with associated text, celebrating some of the wonderful things threatened by environmental breakdown.
- This is an opportunity to see some of the Loving Earth panels at the Quaker Meeting House and to reflect upon the messages that they convey.
- You will also be able to see the Cheltenham COP 26 Climate Vigil Quilt and Banner
- Refreshments will be available which will allow time to chat with others and to find out about local organizations and groups who care about the environment.
- If there is someone, something, or somewhere you know and love that’s endangered by our changing climate you too could show your love and concern through art, craft, or writing.
- There will be materials available on the day or you can create at home to keep or contribute to the Loving Earth Project.
