In a celebration of Saint Nicolas on his feast day, Cantores Chamber Choir presents Britten’s dramatic cantata St Nicolas which narrates the life, miracles and faith of the saint, reflecting on the themes of human compassion and spiritual devotion

In Britten's unique style, the music, scored for choir, tenor solo and chamber orchestra, blends traditional and modern elements.

Alongside this, Haydn’s joyous Missa Sancti Nicolai features elegant melodies, rich harmonies, and lively rhythms, demonstrating Haydn’s mastery of sacred music in a celebratory, devotional style.
