We’re a local & independent business that is totally unique. All of our tasty retro diner food is made by our chefs in-house from fresh ingredients and our own recipes, with great gluten free and vegan options too. We serve our customers an array of drinks from Cocktails and Craft beers to Classic shakes (some Boozy!) and fair trade organic coffee.
With a venue steeped in family history we are filled with original retro & vintage curiosities from Chicago & the UK. We are the fourth generation to have a hospitality business in Gloucestershire and the third to have a ‘Smokey Joe’s’. We have a diverse offering of events, covering many genres of live music, comedy, swing dance & rock n roll, retro video gaming nights, poetry & jazz, private parties and more!
This brings together people of all ages with common interests and creates communities to which everyone is welcome.
What Cheltenham Rocks says: Smokey Joe's greets you with a warm welcome, some times literally, when the log burner is lit on those cold wintery days. Cosy sofa's, a fun retro style interior, retro games and movies often played on the tv's. There is plenty of space for you to meet up with your friends with little one's in tow. The arcade games (even when switched off) are a great entertainment to the children. This hidden gem is brilliantly located in the town centre for your to drop in for a coffee or relax whilst enjoying an American diner style lunch!
