Description

The Brewery Quarter is preparing for the return of the prestigious Cheltenham Jazz Festival and its fantastic Around Town events! Returning to the Quarter for the forth year on bank holiday Sunday 5th May, the Around Town Jazz Festival Event provides a flavour of the main event - all for FREE, with six amazing acts taking to the stage throughout the course of the day!

As well as live music you'll find outdoor bars and alfresco dining areas so you can sit back and enjoy the music to great food, drink and good company. You can relax knowing you can enjoy yourself with (hopefully for most!) no work in the morning!

See below for this year's fantastic line up:

Stolen Chocolates: 1pm - 1:45pm
Gloucestershire based Stolen Chocolates play jazz and blues tunes. Their aim is to find, arrange and play great songs and have some fun whilst doing so. http://www.stolenchocolates.co.uk/

Rory McNeill: 2:15pm - 3pm
Rory McNeill is a jazz singer-songwriter whose rich, baritone voice combines with his lyrical storytelling to present nostalgic but refreshing original music.

Albino Frogs: 3:30pm 4:15pm
This five piece band from the South Wales Valleys deal out their quirky original songs. Think Steely Dan and Average White Band grooves and instantly hummable melodies. facebook.com/Albino-Frogs-170771242986380

The LM Project: 4:45pm - 5:30pm
Inspired by Prince, Led Zeppelin and Esperanza Spalding, expect colourful soundscapes and catchy lyrics from Louie Miller and her jazz pop band. louiemiller.co.uk

Charlton Blues Kings: 6pm - 6:45pm
From 50’s Chicago rhythms to West Coast jump blues and modern West Coast swing, The Charlton Blues Kings are a five-piece rhythm and blues powerhouse serving up vintage, up-tempo music. charltonblueskings.com

Jazz Puddles: 1st - 6th May
Step into our sound puddle installation and get enveloped in jazz music. Look out for them on the floor, with one here at The Brewery Quarter, plus another on the Promenade and in the Jazz Festival Village – no wellies required! (Kindly supported by the Charles Irving Charitable Trust).
