Enjoy the arrival of autumn at Sudeley Castle
Throughout September and October, families can follow a trail around our grounds, finding out about some of the creatures that call our countryside home.
As the seasons change and shades of orange, yellow and red colour the countryside, Autumn is the perfect opportunity to enjoy our breath-taking gardens.
There are an array of flowers, shrubs, trees and herbs to delight the senses in Autumn, such as the golden yellow of the lime and tulip trees, to the burned orange of the Persian ironwood
Horse chestnut trees laden-down with conkers will bear their fruit near to the castle’s adventure playground and British wildlife will feature in a new trail around the castle gardens this autumn.
The new wildlife trail has been developed in partnership with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and includes everything from birds and bats to hedgehogs to trees and toads.
The new trail will run throughout September and October, including the half term holidays. Entry to the trail is free with admission tickets. Buy tickets online and save 10%
As well as completing the trail and enjoying the castle gardens, younger visitors can play on the new fun fort, warm-up with a hot drink and delicious food at the Terrace Café, before enjoying the fascinating new exhibition which tells the 1,000-year story of Sudeley Castle.
