Santas coming to town in festive fun run fundraiser! Get yourself on the ‘nice list’ this year by signing up for this year’s Santa Run in Cheltenham and raise vital funds for local charities.

The 7th annual Santa Fun Run, organised by the Rotary Club of Cheltenham Sunrise, takes place on Sunday 2nd December in Pittville Park, Cheltenham, and you can sign up with the whole family at

Everyone is invited to put on their best Christmassy costume and running shoes to walk, stroll or run along a 3km course or special 1k course for 'Santa’s Littlest Helpers'. Dogs are welcome, each participant receives a winners medal and there’ll be refreshments available too – including Santa’s favourite, Mince Pies!

The Santa spectacle raises vital funds for local charities, offering a great way to celebrate the festive season and give something back to the local community. This year Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Headway Gloucester and Sunrise Local Rotary Charities will all receive an early Christmas gift of vital donations from the event.

Tony Smith, 'Chief Santa' at Rotary Club of Cheltenham Sunrise said, “Why not kick start the festive season by pulling on a Santa or Elf costume getting together with friends and family and enjoying a fun day out at this year’s Santa Run? Furry friends are welcome, especially in festive costume, and we’ve lots of attractions and refreshments on offer which will make it a real feel good festive family day out.”

“There are many Santa Fun Runs around the country, many of them are organised by Rotary Clubs like ours. Between them they raise hundreds of thousands of pounds to help others. This year we will be raising vital funds for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Headway Gloucester and Sunrise Local Rotary Charities.”

Alysia Cameron Price, Community Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice said, “We’re thrilled to be one of the chosen charities for this year’s Santa Run in Cheltenham. We can’t wait to see all the Santa’s and Elves taking to Pittville Park raising vital funds so our Sue Ryder Nurses, doctors and support staff can be there for local families when it matters.”
