Enjoy a feast of Retro Americana at Pittville Pump Room and Park which will be transformed in to an all-American stars and stripes weekend to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the American forces arriving at Pittville Pump Room when the US entered World War II in 1942.

Retro Americana will feature a ‘Gasoline Alley’ packed with Mustangs, Cadillacs to ex-US Army Jeeps, customised hot rods and American muscle cars. With pop up guest DJs slots, free dance lessons, stalls, American themed food, licensed bars and more . . . it’s guaranteed to be a great weekend for all the family

This year’s event will also feature a vintage market plus a programme of live music and lots of activities to keep the little ones entertained.

Saturday Schedule:

9am – American Diner opens inside the Heritage Café

9am – Vintage hair and makeup salon opens inside Pittville Pump Room. 

10am – American cars arrive

10am – DJ set with Jim Hannaway playing music of the 50s

11am – Vintage tea rooms open

11am – Themed bar opens

11am – Official event opening by Cheltenham Mayor, Cllr Sandra Holliday

11am – Vintage American car Gasoline Alley opens

11:30am – Live music by The Rhythm Slingers

12:15pm – DJ set with Jim Hannaway playing music of the 50s

12:30pm – Live music by The Rhythm Slingers

1:15pm – Enjoy a free dance lesson with Jimmy Hannaway and Sarah Vernon of Just Jive – Lindy Hop

1:30pm – Prize giving for best dressed, and best in show vehicle

1:45pm –Live music by Jon Clare and The Dough Boys who will be performing their distinctive boogie woogie and 1950s dance floor classics

2:30pm – Gloucestershire Cheerleading Academy

4pm – American cars depart

5pm – Tea Room closes

11am – Vintage American car Gasoline Alley opens

11am – DJ set with Rob McElvanney

11:30am – Live music by Miss Franny Delight. The vintage songstress will delight you with songs from the 1920s to modern songs with a vintage twist

12:15pm – 1940 radio with DJ Rob McElvanney

12:30pm – Miss Franny Delight singer

1.15pm – Enjoy a free 1940s traditional dance lesson by Erica and Cliff Fowers from Swing Out Swindon  

1:45pm – Prize giving for best dressed, and best in show vehicle

2pm – We welcome Kim Cypher and her 5-piece big band

3pm – 1940 radio with DJ Rob McElvanney
