Ever fancied gathering your own flowers? The Cotswold Posy Patch is joining in with The Flower Farmer’s Big Weekend to host an open morning this summer, where you’ll get the chance to see our working flower patch and wander amongst the gorgeous blooms, choosing your favourites to pick and make a jam jar posy. There will also be a jam jar decorating station where you can decorate the jar with a selection of raffia, lace, and other pretty things.
On the day you'll be told all about the work of Cotswold Posy Patch, from how the ground is prepared, to how they plant, care for and harvest flowers. The team will guide you around the patch, helping you select and cut your flowers, and answering any questions you might have along the way. You’ll get to decorate your jar and then take your posy of flowers home with you. Each session lasts 45 minutes.
This event would be great for anyone wanting an insight into how Cotswold Posy Patch grow flowers, or the opportunity to pick their own posy. Children are welcome but must be closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times. No dogs please. Please be aware that due to the horticultural nature of this site, including uneven, narrow, and sometimes muddy paths, it may be difficult to navigate for disabled customers.
Flowers From The Farm is a cooperative of British cut flower growers. The Big Weekend runs from 16th - 19th August to celebrate and showcase British cut flower growing.
This is an event for adults and children of all ages. Everyone welcome, but we ask that children are supervised at all times. Tickets £10 per person (one adult free with a child ticket if you’re only picking one Posy. If you want your own Posy you’ll need to buy 2 tickets, 1 for you and 1 for the child).
Sessions last for 45 minutes, and run from 9am - 9:45am, 9:45am - 10:30am, 10:30am - 11:15am and 11:15am - 12pm. Tickets must be purchased inadvance from eventbrite or our webshop: https://www.cotswoldposypatch.com/shop
