If you live in or are visiting the Springbank/Uckington are of Cheltenham, this is a short, toddler friendly walk for you.
First, pop over the style opposite the Pilgrove Way lay-by on Old Gloucester Road. Turn left and circumnavigate the field to find trees to climb and bridges to throw Pooh sticks from. The smaller bridge has a little bank that’s easy to climb down for a paddle, so don’t forget to wear wellies/a full wetsuit if you’re planning on sitting down in the stream like a certain member of Team Gore did last time we did this walk...
If you want a longer walk, head over the larger bridge and keep going through the field to the right. When you emerge, will see a farmyard on your right and a gated house with a moat to your left. Our children love to look at these! You can pick up public footpaths by continuing on past either landmark, they're all marked on OS maps (which can be viewed online) or you can go back on yourself and complete the loop of the original field.
