Take several traditional fairy tale characters - Cinderella with her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, Red Riding Hood and the wolf, Jack and the beanstalk, Rapunzel etc - mix with a new story about a childless baker and his wife and a witch and you get this funny, dark, and thought-provoking Tony-award winning musical.

Cheltenham College's production will include a sizeable live orchestra and the Cheltenham Playhouse are particularly pleased to be able to offer a limited number of seats for general sale in tribute to the composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim who died last November.
