Family Fun Friday

Join us for a creative afternoon of willow weaving! No artistic talent or previous experience required! It is fun for everyone. Make a willow bird feeder and fat ball to hang in the garden as winter approaches. Families will need to share some equipment to make the bird feeders, but there will be plenty of willow around to play with to make stars, fish, crowns and anything else you might like. Afterwards we will head out for a nature walk on Cleeve Common, taking in the autumn sights and sounds.

Join us at 2pm prompt for a lesson on how to work with willow. If you have secateurs of your own you may wish to bring them. Everything else will be provided. Just dress for the weather on the day for heading out on the walk. Please buy a ticket per family (up to three children, at least one adult per family group but no additional charge for others). Working with willow is great fun but does require a bit of patience and the ability to follow simple instructions. It therefore is best suited for children aged 7 years and above. Younger children are however welcome along. The golf club is open to everyone for drinks, snacks and lunch so feel free to come up earlier or stay afterwards to fuel up.
