Christmas Cinema at Bacon Theatre

Bacon Theatre are showing multiple Christmas films on Tuesday 21st December as part of their Christmas Cinema event.

The Grinch [U] at 10:30am:

The Grinch and his loyal dog, Max, live a solitary existence inside a cave on Mount Crumpet. His main source of aggravation comes during Christmas time when his neighbours in Whoville celebrate the holidays with a bang. When the Whos decide to make Christmas bigger and brighter, the disgruntled Grinch realises there is one way to gain peace and quiet. With help from Max, the green grump hatches a scheme to pose as Santa Claus, steal Christmas and silence the Whos’ holiday cheer once and for all.

White Christmas [U] at 2:30pm:

A pair of former soldiers start a new career as nightclub entertainers. They try to boost the popularity of their old commanding officer’s struggling winter resort in Vermont by staging a series of extravagant shows, with a little help from their former army buddies and a talented singing sister act. Musical, starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Vera-Ellen, Dean Jagger, Sig Rumann, Mary Wickes, Anne Whitfield and Rosemary Clooney, featuring seasonal songs by Irving Berlin.

Die Hard [18] at 7:00pm:

If you’re looking for an action movie fix to enjoy this Christmas, Die Hard is definitely the “Christmas Classic” for you. The film, directed by John McTiernan, tells the story of an NYPD police officer, John McClane (Bruce Willis), who goes to Los Angeles to visit his estranged wife, Holly, on Christmas. However, when a group of terrorists led by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) takes over the Nakatomi plaza skyscraper, it’s up to McClane to stop them.
