Description

Batsford Arboretum are pleased to be able to welcome visitors to their arboretum, garden centre and café once again from 10am-4pm daily.

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone, they have a number of strict measures in place; please see their full guidelines for more information. They are now able to welcome a maximum of 30 people (including closely-supervised children and dogs) into their garden centre. Please note the children's play area remains closed until further notice.

Please puchase your tickets online to minimise the amount of time spent inside the building, they are not timed or dated and are valid for 6 months. No need to book online if RHS, Gardeners World or any reciprocal members.

The Big Batsford Bug Hunt is back! Find the creepy crawlies hidden around the Arboretum to win a prize! The bug hunt is running daily until 6th September and costs £2.50 per child, plus normal admission fees for participating children & accompanying adults. No need to book!

Batsford Arboretum is home to one of the largest private tree collections in the country with something to see throughout the year. Enjoy early colour from the snowdrops, daffodils and spectacular Japanese flowering cherries; escape the heat under the tree canopy in summer and prepare to be amazed by the outstanding autumn colour!

Bring the whole family (including the dog) and explore 56 acres of wild gardens, paths and streams; marvel at stunning views and find the beautiful oriental-influenced statues tucked into leafy glades. Our children’s trail is a fun way to discover the Arboretum, keeping little ones interested and entertained, plus, on completion of each trail, every child gets a prize!

You’ll find delicious lunches including yummy snack boxes for children, hot drinks and home-baked cakes from the Garden Terrace Café. Enjoy your meal on the wooden deck where you can soak up the sun whilst the children burn off some energy in our play area - be sure to visit the parrots in our aviary while you’re there! The play area is free of charge to use and is suitable for children under the age of 8.

We run a number of family friendly events throughout the year, from our Easter Bunny Hunt and summer Bug Hunt, open-air theatre productions and fun sessions in our Forest School. If you love exploring in the great outdoors, you’ll love Batsford Arboretum!
