Top dads assemble! You've worked hard all week, and this weekend it's your time to shine! We've selected the best family-friendly events to celebrate our star superheroes, featuring food, festivals, fake fighting and fun on the farm!
Cotswold Farm Park is thanking all the dads’ out there by giving them a free ticket! Simply book your tickets online and dad’s ticket will be free when accompanied by a paying child, toddler, adult or senior ticket. Come along for all the usual fun on the Farm – including Farm Safari rides, rabbit and chick cuddles and Bottle Feeding of our lambs and goat kids. Don’t miss the Farming Demonstrations, Sheep Shearing and Milking, which will both take place in the Animal Barn twice a day. Running Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th June from 10:30am - 5pm daily. Treat Dad like a real King with a visit to Sudeley Castle! Dads are invited to take their seat on the Sudeley Stone Throne, and children can crown dad in the majestic ruins of the Banqueting Hall, open to visitors for one day only. Sit beside the hearth where Richard III may once have plotted how to rule the realm! With free admission for all dads on Sunday 16th June, 10 award-winning gardens and an adventure playground, you can be sure of a special day out with something for the whole family to enjoy this Fathers Day. Indulge in a scrumptious lunch during your visit with a special Father's Day Afternoon Tea or a Beer and a Burger (Lamb, Beef or Pork) special for £12.50. Chedworth Roman Villa welcomes one and all to their exciting Gladiator Arena, open especially for Father’s Day! Legio II Augusta, a premier Roman re-enactment group return with their gladiator arena. Watch exciting displays of gladiatorial fighting, bring dads along and see him sold as a slave to fight in the arena. With demonstrations, chats and activities, the weekend will be full of great family fun! This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue. The Hewlett Cider Festival is a welcome event to celebrate a fun-filled Fathers Day weekend! With live music, tasty BBQ, cider bar and more! Live music performers include Amy Wilson-Young, The Hawthorne’s, Last Man Standing, Adam Cross and Frazer Lepford. The Cider Festival will be family-friendly too, with a have a bouncy castle all weekend and a visit from Cheltenham Face Painting on Sunday! The Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival is back for 2019, running Friday 14th - Sunday 16th June. A celebration of food, wine, champagne and food producers and the perfect treat for Father’s Day! With Local chefs from leading restaurants and hotels showcasing local and regional food with inspiring demonstrations of creative cooking and wine tastings and talks. As always there will be a range of entertainment on offer, including music and children's entertainment from Punch & Judy and The Music Man! Saddle up and get ready for a new-look Prescott Bike Festival 2019, it’s a summer weekend that promises to be even hotter than ever! The popular, family-friendly event returns to the Gloucestershire Hill Climb Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June, with the best in custom builds, race bikes, factory bikes, prototypes, historic to record beating machines. The event features the popular ‘Run the Hill’ where more than 200 members of the public run the historic hillclimb course on a range of magnificent machines! Plus, paddock specials, celebrity guest appearances, thrilling passenger ride experiences, Show ‘n’ Tell, great food, live hot rockin’ bands, a large exhibitor zone featuring over 100 trade exhibitors and a Kids Zone to keep them entertained for hours.
