29th - 30th July: What's On In Cheltenham This Weekend

It's gone a little bit quiet on the events-front this weekend (don't worry, it all picks up again next week) but there's still a lot going on around Cheltenham to keep you out of mischief.

The forecast is 'scattered showers' but once again, the BBC has a much more positive outlook and has some actual sunshine forecast for both Saturday and Sunday morning. Whatever the weather, if you've got some free time to spend together here's some ideas of things to do in Cheltenham this weekend.

Saturday and Sunday

The Boathouse in Pittville Park is a one-stop-shop for loads of fun activities around the park. From there you can rent golf clubs, hire a boat, book a tennis court or even grab a fishing permit and pitch up on a fishing jetty for the afternoon. The Royal Oak in Bishops Cleeve is holding a cider festival this weekend with live music, a bbq and a bouncy castle for the kids. In fact, the bouncy castle and kids' tuck shop is expected to be available for the whole of the summer holidays :). Find out more

After a quiet period, the strawberries are back in full effect at Primrose Vale where you can stock up on a range of delicious fruit and make a day of it in the play area and cafe. If you're a raspberry fan, make sure to visit soon as there's usually a crop-lull during August. Find out more

Starting Saturday and running until 11th August, Cotswold Farm Park welcome you to the Maize Maze. Children and adults can enjoy getting lost in a sea of maize crop and using the clues to escape. Included in normal admission. Find out more

Pets at Home are continuing their free pet workshops through summer with sessions on this Saturday and Sunday. Interactive workshops for little ones to learn about pets. Choose between Small Furries and Fishy Friends. For more information and to book - click here

Sunday

The Suffolks Sunday Market is back with the usual collection of fabulous stalls, street food and entertainment PLUS, luxury ladies boutique ReVamp are holding a Fill A Bag For A Fiver fundraiser for Maggies. Pop along and fill a bag with lovely items from the shop for just £5. Find out more

Arty Sundays at The Wilson takes place on the last Sunday of every month 11am - 1pm £2 per person. Kids aged 3 and under go free. Find out more.

For the Grown Ups

The Vine's annual festival-in-a-pub returns: Vinestock is running from Friday to Sunday with the pub floor covered in turf and some top class bands set to perform. For the full line up visit the Facebook Event Page.
