There's another weekend of changeable weather on the cards but things look set to improve drastically after Monday, with sunshine forecast right up until next weekend.

Saturday and Sunday

It's the mother of all fun days at Newlands Park both Saturday and Sunday with a circus, fun fair, stalls, cooking demos and character appearances. The Midcounties Co-operative Fun Day raises thousands every year. £2 adults, kids go free. Find out more

There's a new film on the billing in the discounted Movies for Juniors at Cineworld. Ballerina joins Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, for the weekend. Find out more

There's lots of spaces on the free pet workshops at Pets At Home for both Small Furries and Fishy Friends. Interactive workshops for little ones to learn about pets. Find out more

Saturday

It's the last day to catch the Regent Arcade's free Neverland pop-up. A magical world of Peter Pan awaits, with fairies and a pirate ship for little ones to hop aboard. Find out more

The Boardroom family board game day takes place at St Pauls Church. Free entry, free refreshments and lots of board games for all the family. There's toys and ride ons for younger visitors too. Find out more

A little outside of town, the Slaughter's Country Inn is holding a family fun day with a a BBQ, bouncy castle, garden games and Hawaiian Limbo! All games and activities are free. Find out more

Cheltenham Science Centre is a great low-cost, all-weather destination. Entry is £2 for ages 5 and over, (0-4s are free). Open Saturdays 10am - 4pm there's hands on experiments to delight children (and big kids!) from primary age and upwards. Find out more

Sunday

The Posh Car Boot in Birdlip is an absolute must for bargain hunters this Sunday. In its 3rd year, we've been to both previous events and come away with some treasures. All proceeds go to charity. Refreshments on site. Find out more

The Royal Oak in Bishops Cleeve is holding a family fun day with live music, a bouncy castle, face painting and a BBQ. Find out more

Skaters' Club takes place Sunday afternoons at Leisure At. Welcoming skaters of all ages to enjoy 90 minutes free-skate around the hall. Get on the FB page and choose your favourite tune before the day. Skate hire available (£2). £5 entry. Find out more

Out Of Town Highlights

Have you discovered Sherborne Cinema in Gloucester yet? A retro cinema with free parking showing latest films at a fraction of the price. This weekend's line-up for families includes Despicable Me 3, Captain Underpants and Cars 3.

Near Over Farm this Saturday and Sunday, it's the Over Festival on the Canal.

Child-free weekend? Why not check out one of our brand new restaurants. We've recently seen Wagamama and the Suffolk Arms join the growing list of new openings. They join the class of 2016 including The Fire Station and Sup and Chow, which both do Bottomless Brunches on the weekend. Just sayin'
