Sing, dance, pretend & play..where will our imagination take us today
Drama, pretending and role-play are some of the most instinctive things that children do. They laugh, they play, they learn. At this young age, drama is how children make sense of the world around them; they recreate events that happen to them, use their imaginations to explore different worlds and role-play characters to see how they fit into it all. Pyjama Drama allows children to lead the way in the drama by cleverly mixing improvisation within structured classes delivered by our very talented teachers. These teachers play a crucial role in developing key skills in children such as language, co-operation, concentration, creativity and empathy, all through the power of drama and imaginative play.
At Pyjama Drama our emphasis is on role play and imagination, not performance. Although in many children we see the blossoming of a lifelong love of drama, we’re not deliberately setting out to teach the children to be actors and performers. Drama has many benefits for children, all of which our teachers see every day, but first and foremost Pyjama Drama is about having lots and lots of fun!
