25th - 26th November - What's On In Cheltenham This Weekend

Tis’ the season to feel festive, tra-la-la! It may be a little too early to unbox those dusty decorations and dress the tree in tinsel, but a stroll around a Christmas market with a spot of gift shopping is just what we need to get us in the festive spirit!

If you’re stuck for things to do this weekend, have no fear - we’ve got some winter warmers right here! So snuggle down with a hot brew and take note - your weekend plans are looking up!

Saturday & Sunday

Christmas On The Farm at Cotswold Farm Park provides the perfect opportunity to visit Father Christmas, watch Elf Show Live, see the animals of the nativity and buy your Christmas tree on site! Special children’s tickets are available which include Farm Park entrance, a special time slot to see Father Christmas and a choice of present from the Toy Room. From 25th November – 22nd December (times and dates vary). Prices range from £5 for baby – £17.50 for child tickets. Find out more.

Cheltenham German Christmas Market is back! Chocolate wine, marzipan, festive euro-treats, it's worth a visit! The classic wooden chalets selling festive gifts offer a welcome change from high street drudgery, with delicious food for kids and German bars serving warming ales for grown ups from 10am - 6pm. Saturday:

It may be a bit early to build a snowman, but never too early to burst into song - the cold never bothered us anyway, right? Cineworld For Juniors is screening Olaf’s Frozen Adventure + Frozen and we’re not letting it go! Screenings at 10am and 10:10am, ticket prices vary with limited availability. Find out more.

Bethesda Church & Scout Christmas Fair offers a morning of coffee and afternoon of cooked lunches! Stalls include gifts, toys, jewellery, books and bric a brac from 10.30am. Find out more.

Christmas Shopping Event at Emmanuel Church in support of Sue Ryder, Leckhampton Court Hospice. Come along from 11am-2pm and shop a selection of jewellery, crafts, handmade gifts, candles and cakes! Find out more.

Christmas at Court Farm Shop promises a day of fun and selfie opportunities! Visit Santa’s Grotto & meet Santa! (booking required), enjoy tasty tasters and mulled wine, meet the animals and see the new born piglets! Open from 10am - 4pm. Find out more.

Lakeside Primary School PTA Christmas Fair is a wonderful winter wonderland featuring a range of Narnia themed activities to enjoy. There will be lots of festival activties for the whole family including a secret wrapping room, fun and games, and a chance to meet Santa and his elves! Entry is £1 per adult and children enter free. Christmas Street Party / Light Switch On returns! Join in the festivities from 3pm - 7pm, with a spectacular line-up of activites and entertainment at the Christmas Street Party, taking over the town centre. Brand new lights, free family events and traditional festivities will add some sparkle to town, as well as a special appearance from Santa who will be sure to delight the little ones. Find out more.

Sunday:

Cheltenham College Christmas Fair is the perfect opportunity to pick up some unique Christmas gifts, or to treat yourself! Entry costs £5 per person, free for under 16’s and if you’ve bought your ticket in advance you’ll receive a complimentary glass of fizz! Bottoms’ up! Pop down between 10am - 4pm. Find out more.

Christmas Market at Smokey Joe’s offers a selection of festive decorations, gift boxes, original illustrations and prints and handmade gifts. Not forgetting fruity mulled wine while browsing! Cotswold Christmas Market at Pittville Pump Room is your one stop shop for beautiful Christmas gifts. Support local and small businesses this Christmas at the festive event, with over 70 stalls inside and out including food, drink, handmade, craft and vintage. Out Of Town Highlights:

Gloucester Victorian Christmas Market returns to Gloucester Quays with over 140 magical stalls and for a truly Dickensian touch, a cast of jolly Victorian characters will be bringing the market to life transporting you back in time! Open Saturday from 10am - 7pm and Sunday 11am - 5pm. Find out more.

Highnam Day Nursery and friends would like to invite you all to their Christmas Fayre and Open Day from 2pm - 4pm, Sunday 26th November.
