Trialling the Primrose Vale Easter Trail

There’s an abundance of great activities and days out going on this Easter and with so much on offer it’s difficult to choose what would suit you and yours.
Last weekend we hopped along to the Primrose Vale Easter Trail to check it out. Have a read if it’s something you’re considering.

The Primrose Vale Easter Trail is running until Sunday 23th April and entrance is £5 for participants (accompanying adults are free). We've been to the Halloween trail for the past 4 years and have always been huge fans so Isla and I were looking forward to seeing if this was just as egg-cellent.

Primrose Easter Trail 2

The trail this year has a new format, splitting the hunts into two age groups; one for the pre-schoolers and the other for ages 5 and over. If your feeling hardy then you can tackle both.

Both Trails have 10 challenges and range in difficulty (for example, the preschool game may have them catching with a bucket, but the over 5s will be asked to catch with their hands).

The games are really fun and no matter which trail you do there is something for everyone; catching, counting, running, balancing. A personal favourite of ours was the egg and spoon race, it got rather competitive!

The Trails are split across 2 fields meaning if you are only doing one it's less walking for the little legs. Whilst there we didn’t have to wait for any activities so could take our time at each (although I imagine this depends on how busy it is when you go).

The trail took us about 45 minutes to do and at a guess the maximum time you would spend doing one would be no more than an hour.

There is a prize at the end of chocolate and a toy, and Isla was more than impressed with their offerings.

To extend your visit there’s all the usual facilities, refreshments (including ice cream) plus the outdoor play area and sandpit.

In summary, this is a great value-for-money activity that you can tailor to your family’s ages (and attention span!).

Happy Easter
